Before you enroll, take time to understand who is eligible for Solventum benefits and which family members you may be able to cover.

Full-time and part-time Solventum employees are eligible for benefits. Temporary employees may be eligible for certain benefits. Eligibility may vary based on your employee classification, work location and the terms of the applicable plan.

If you have questions about your eligibility, contact the Solventum Benefits Center.

Eligible dependents may include:

  • Your legally married spouse, including a common law spouse
  • Your domestic partner
  • Your child if they are under age 26 or disabled

For full eligibility details, refer to the Summary Plan Description (SPD) for the plans you are enrolling in. SPDs are available on the Solventum Benefits Center.

Medical, prescription and dental ID cards are available to print from the carrier’s website or to download to your phone using their mobile app.

ID cards may also be mailed to the home address on file for you or your dependents, so make sure your contact information is up-to-date.

When enrolling a dependent for the first time, you may be asked to provide documentation showing they are eligible for coverage. The Solventum Benefits Center will request copies of appropriate documentation to verify your dependent’s eligibility. If documentation is not provided by the deadline, your dependent may lose coverage and will not be eligible for COBRA continuation coverage.

Before enrolling your domestic partner and/or their children for company-provided healthcare coverage, it’s essential to understand the tax implications if they do not qualify as tax dependents. If they do not qualify, the value of their coverage provided by Solventum will be treated as imputed income and included in your gross income.

Imputed income is separate from and in addition to your premium cost and is subject to federal, state, FICA, local or other payroll taxes. For an estimate of this imputed income, call the Solventum Benefits Center at 877-333-0018. Note that state taxation of domestic partner coverage varies.

Given the potential tax impacts, it’s important to weigh both the premium costs and additional taxes. Consult with a financial planner or tax advisor to determine the effects of benefits enrollment on your taxes, or for other tax considerations related to domestic partner benefits.

You must complete the tax status certification for your domestic partner and/or their children through the online enrollment process or by phone. If you do not complete this certification, their coverage will default to non-qualified dependent tax status. Should their tax status change midyear, contact the Solventum Benefits Center at 877-333-0018.

If both you and your spouse or domestic partner work at Solventum, do not enroll as dependents on each other’s medical, dental or vision plans. This offers no additional benefits and may result in unnecessary extra costs.

You’ll enroll in and manage your benefits through the Solventum Benefits Center. You can access the site from a company device through My Solventum or from any device at SolventumBenefits.ehr.com.

The first time you visit the Solventum Benefits Center, you’ll need to register. You can access the site:

Once you’re logged in, review your current coverage, compare your benefit options and decide what works best for you and your family. Violet, Solventum’s AI-powered benefits tool, is available on the Solventum Benefits Center to help you compare your options.

From the Solventum Benefits Center home page, click Enroll Now and follow the prompts to make your elections. When you’re ready, submit your elections. A pop-up will appear with a link to your confirmation statement. Keep a copy for your records.

Your benefits should work for you. If you do not take action during your enrollment window, you’ll receive default coverage, which may not be the best fit for your needs. Review the information below so you understand what happens if you do not enroll.

Most benefit elections stay in place for the full plan year. Outside of your new hire enrollment window or Annual Enrollment, you generally can make benefit changes only if you experience a Qualifying Status Change (QSC) event.

A QSC is a life event that may allow you to update certain benefit elections before the next Annual Enrollment period. Examples may include:

  • Getting married or divorced
  • Welcoming a child through birth, adoption or placement
  • A dependent becoming newly eligible or no longer eligible for coverage
  • Gaining or losing other benefit coverage

The benefit change you request generally must be consistent with the event. For example, welcoming a new child may allow you to add that child to your Solventum medical coverage.

Timing matters: You must report the event, provide any required documentation, and request a benefit change within 31 days of the QSC. The change must be consistent with the event, such as adding a spouse to your coverage after marriage.
