Disability coverage helps protect part of your income if an illness, injury or pregnancy keeps you from working. Solventum provides eligible employees with Short-Term and Long-Term Disability coverage at no cost to you.

Short-Term Disability can provide income replacement if you are unable to work because of your own illness, injury or pregnancy. STD benefits are administered by Sedgwick.

  • An elimination period of seven consecutive calendar days before STD benefits begin
  • 100% of base pay for up to seven weeks after the elimination period
  • 60% of base pay for up to 18 additional weeks
  • Up to 26 weeks of STD benefits per occurrence, if approved

If you are hospitalized and the elimination period is waived, STD benefits may begin on the day of hospital admission. In that case, you may receive 100% of base pay for up to 8 weeks, followed by 60% of base pay for up to 18 additional weeks, if approved.

If your absence is expected to last more than 7 consecutive calendar days, contact the Solventum Disability and Leave Service Center to start a claim.

If you need a workplace accommodation, contact the Solventum Disability and Leave Service Center and they can help guide you through the process for ADA accommodation requests.

Long-Term Disability can provide income replacement if you remain unable to work after Short-Term Disability ends and your LTD claim is approved. For original dates of disability on or after January 1, 2026, LTD benefits are administered by Prudential.

You may also have the option to elect voluntary LTD buy-up coverage for added protection.

For questions about Long-Term Disability, contact Prudential at 844-345-4778 or visit mybenefits.prudential.com.

If you are approved for Long-Term Disability, some Solventum benefits may continue, some may end and some may require direct billing or other action. Review the LTD page to understand how medical, dental, vision, life insurance, voluntary benefits, retirement benefits and spending accounts may be affected.
