When you’re not feeling well, you need time to rest and recover. Sick time can help you step away from work for your own health needs or other eligible reasons.
Unless governed by state or local laws or ordinances, eligible employees receive 40 hours of paid sick time each year. Sick time is administered through Workday and may be used for approved absences such as your own illness, injury, health condition, diagnosis, care or treatment or routine medical or dental appointments.
You can use sick time for eligible absences, including certain short-term health needs or to help cover the 7-day elimination period before Short-Term Disability (STD) benefits begin, if applicable. Sick time may also be used for intermittent FMLA absences when approved.
If your illness, injury or pregnancy is expected to keep you away from work for more than 7 consecutive calendar days, contact the Solventum Disability and Leave Service Center to start a leave or Short-Term Disability claim. For absences of 7 or fewer consecutive calendar days, you generally do not need to contact the Solventum Disability and Leave Service Center, but you should follow your normal absence reporting process.
